Who doesn't love fruit roll-ups? You can even catch me enjoying one every so often. In our house, these are one of those snacks that always sit on our pantry shelf.

Strawberry Mango

Simple to prepare and ready in hours these will be one of the easiest things you make that your kids will love.

When something is packed full of nutrients and FUN to eat it's a win-win.

Frozen fruit or fresh it doesn't really matter when you are making fruit leather fruit roll-ups but this recipe is for frozen. If you are going to be using fresh make sure your fruit is cleaned, stemmed and peeled.

Yields will vary depending on the size of your dehydrator trays and the thickness of your puree.

  • 3 cups of fresh fruit or frozen fruit thawed

  • 1/2 of a lemon juiced

  • 2 tbsp of your favourite sweetener, we use honey or maple syrup

  1. Thaw the frozen fruit

  2. Put all the ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.

  3. Slowly pour the puree onto your dehydrator sheets about 1/4 " thick

  4. Dehydrate at 135F for about 6 hours 6-10 hours. I always start with 5 hours and check it every hour after until it's no longer sticky but still soft.

  5. Remove the fruit leather from the trays and cut it into strips or any size of your choice.

  6. Place on parchment slightly bigger than your fruit leather and roll it up to create fruit roll-ups.

  7. Store in your favourite jar or airtight container and enjoy at snack time.

For Strawberry Mango use 1 1/2 cups strawberries and 1 1/2 cups Mango. Blend themtogether or cut the recipe in half and blend them separately, alternating pouring them onto the dehydrator trays to give the swirled affect.

If you can't fit all your puree in your dehydrator at one time, feel free to store it in a zip lock bag in your fridge for up to one week or freeze it and simply thaw it before putting it on your dehydrator trays and dehydrating it.
